Kahlenberg Muff Couplings

The Kahlenberg two piece shaft coupling is strong, streamlined, thrust absorbing, and easily removed.

When used between an intermediate and tail shaft in marine applications, the Kahlenberg muff coupling greatly reduces cost and down time caused by propeller shaft damage. Long repair delays are eliminated since repairing entire propeller shafts due to damaged aft end are no longer necessary. Stow a spare tail shaft aboard and be assured of immediate repair.

Available in alloy C99500 aluminum bronze or stainless steel, the Kahlenberg shaft coupling features accurately machined mating surfaces with filleted keyway. Precision located identical thru bolt holes have surfaces spot faced for in-line bolt tension. Ends of the muff coupling are streamlined to minimize underwater turbulence.
